Rapidshare.de and Megashare.com are the sites which hardly anyone will be unaware of. These sites allow user to upload files but lack the basic functionality of searching the whole database based on the description of the file.

However, the website hosts an impressive number of files and it tends to become a real encyclopedia for music and movies. Similar is the case with magashare also. But since you dont have a search option hence you can just download the file unless you have the link to the file.
